A day in the life of a styled shoot

Yorkshire Brides | Weddings were invited to participate in a beautiful styled shoot held at the newly launched wedding venue Kirkby Fleetham Hall.

The shoot was organised by Rebecca from Saint, and a talented group of suppliers came together to create a exclusive day.

Kirkby Fleetham Hall is a private country house and estate with magnificent grounds set between Catterick & Northallerton in North Yorkshire. The venue offers stunning lakeside views, a secret walled garden, charming church and rolling woodlands, offering endless possibilities for our shoot. The venue is the epitome of intimate and romantic English luxury, and the team couldn't wait to style it.

Our model couple Emma & Chris, a real life couple, began their styled shoot day, in the capable hands of our HMUA Rebecca - Saint. The bridalwear was provided by Joana Bridal Boutique, and Emma, our model Bride stunned in the Pezy dress designed by Rebecca Ingram. Penny Pearl Bridal Co provided the beautiful accessories to finish the overall look. Chris, our model Groom, was dressed by Antich Fine English Tailors, who provided their own “Beaumont” design dinner suit. Woven, designed, cut, made and pressed in-house, at their Huddersfield base.

The rings were hand crafted by Dion Smith Jeweller at Leeds Corn Exchange, with a white gold 2.00ct tulip inset diamond engagement ring included.

Whilst the models were being prepared, the styling team were out in the orangery & walled gardens creating the ceremony and wedding breakfast setups. Stems Design & K&Co Events (aided by Yorkshire Brides | Weddings) provided the floristry, decor and linens. The theme for the shoot was monochrome luxury, and Stems provided floristry including the bridal bouquet, which was created from white roses and white calla lilies. Stems also provided the table decor including low and high table centres, vases, candles, charger plates, floristry and the ceremony backdrop. The flowers were exquisite with white roses, hydrangea and gypsophila being incorporated. Teamed with the monochrome linens provided by K&Co, the set-ups were breathtaking.

Stationery for the shoot was provided by Pearl and Pen, who designed and created classy, crisp, and on-theme stationery including place cards, menus and order of service. The signage for the shoot was provided by Loved by Lucy Designs which included a bespoke handwritten welcome sign, table plan and cake menu.

Set within the orangery, a 3 tier white textured cake with black ribbon, provided by the talented Helen of Miss Helens Wedding Cakes, finished the wedding breakfast setup. The cake, a monochrome dream, was made up of the following delicious flavours; lemon & blueberry; raspberry & white chocolate; vanilla & strawberry.

Our shoot began with our photographers, Stacey J Evans and Nicole Wilcox capturing the Bridal & Groom prep, whilst videographer Dan Williams Films captured footage. We were also joined by content creators The Social Wedding, and Chelsea in Love Weddings, who captured the BTS and special moments across the shoot. The Social Wedding also captured footage across the shoot, and estate via drone.

The shoot was orchestrated as per a normal wedding timeline, therefore our couple went on to shoot the ceremony after the bridal prep, followed by the wedding breakfast. We also had a first dance, cake-cutting, and then went onto shoot across the grounds of the estate including the lake.

Violinist Bianca Blezard provided the ceremony and wedding breakfast background music and entertainment for the shoot. We also had celebrant Nikki Billingham performing the service for our model couple.

The shoot came to a close, with a swift dress change for our model Bride, and an 'end of evening' shoot held upstairs within the hall. Our Groom carried our Bride over 'the threshold' and sipped champagne together. The perfect end to a magnificent day of shooting!

Overall the day was spectacular, and only made possible by the talented and creative suppliers that were involved.

Look out for further styled shoot and real wedding inspiration on our blog!
