Hello, please allow me to introduce myself, I am Elaine and owner of Hattie Rose Floral Design, and it is amazing to be featured in Yorkshire Brides.

I work from my garden studio tucked away in a picturesque corner of a North Yorkshire Village, not far from York.  I have always had a passion for nature but particularly flowers, plants and trees.  My interest goes all the way back to my school days which was a long time ago!  I was chosen to speak at one assembly about a personal key interest!  The subject was flowers, and I inherited this interest from my Grandad, a wonderful gardener.

Since then, I have always been creative with floralsproviding arrangements, flower clouds, bouquets and wreaths etc. for my home, friends and family; however, after a long career in the corporate world linked to Further and Higher Education, in recent years I formalised my floral creativity and Hattie Rose Floral Design was created.

Hattie rose is named after my Granddaughter “Hattie Rose” and I am passionate about sustainable floristry design and being mindful of the planet.  You won’t see any floral foam in my designs!  I provide sustainable floral designs using British flowers first and foremost; however, there may be times when a bride requests out of season blooms in the winter months which may need to be sourced from warmer climes.  

I also specialise in designs using British dried / everlasting flowers which means that the wedding flowers will keep their colour and vibrancy for a long time after the wedding has taken place, keeping those precious memories fresh in your mind for a long time to come.  My services are varied, and I can provideanything from bouquets to installations for weddings and events.

My creative style is natural as I always consider how blooms would look in their natural surroundings and how they grow to make room for the birds and the bees.

Importantly, I pride myself on a personal service, no two clients are the same and all have different needs as some are very specific and others just leave the creativity to me. Part of my service is to have a relaxedno obligation initial meeting with my wedding clientwhich usually involves coffee and cake and at the same time I can answer any related questions about your flowers. So long as I have a steer on colour scheme and understand your style, I will create your dream wedding flowers.

Should you choose Hattie Rose as your wedding flowers supplier I will work with you at every stage of the floral process and to your required budget from small intimategatherings to larger wedding events.  I can then provide an initial quotation and subject to progressing with Hattie Rose I will require an initial nonrefundable deposit.
